Bet,
You were close. Dad was a couple of years older than mon.

I have moved from Washington State to New Orleans having spent most of the time since Katrina working on the recovery. I'm now working for the City of New Orleans, Office of Recovery Manangement chasing FEMA for dollars.

My son, Morgan Weaver, now 16 years old, 6'2" tall and a football player, will join me when he finishes school in Washington in June.

I was a student of Dorothy Sargeant in Winthrop, MA in the 1960's, and she was the single most important, most wonderful, most influential teacher I have ever had. She was very important to me. If you have a means of passing that information on to her, please do. Even better, if there is some way that you could give me information on how I might contact her, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks. -- Kate Lydon Varley

Wow, Bet this is amazing!! This will be so much fun if we can get the rest of the Haugen clan to submit great info. Let me know how I can add to the blog! My students keep me up on all this stuff and it will be fun to contribute. Thanks for all your work.

This new website is dedicated to my norwegian family that originated in the DesLacs and Berthold area of North Dakota in the early 1900's.

More importantly, this site is dedicated to the memory of my beloved parents: Donald M. Haugen and Norah B. Haugen.
